Here is a rally Subaru for your time. Anybody have any Netflix suggestions for me to kill time? I've been binging on Psych, and the wife likes watching Sherlock. Other than that I've watched some Top Gear and Futurama.
Had my gallbladder removed last week. It was outpatient surgery, so I was only at the hospital from 7:00 to around 15:00. My sense of time is pretty foggy from the anesthesia and painkillers. They sent me home with some big Motrin and some good stuff too. I've managed to stick to Motrin for the day and only take the good stuff to sleep at night. It makes me too loopy during the day and I don't like that. Recovery is going good, but I can't lift anything over 10 pounds for a while, and still feel pretty tender. Turns out you use your stomach muscles for a lot of stuff.
TL;DR Had gallbladder out, all is well. Painkillers make me loopy.

Try Bob's Burgers. My wife and I weren't sure for the first 5 or so episodes, but by the end of season 1 loved it. We're starting season three tonight.

Couching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is on there. I would recommend that. Or Tucker and Dale versus Evil

you can go on a Jericho tear. Great show, lots of cool old cars in some of the episodes.

Fargo is great movie and a TV series based on it is on now. Before I go farther, do you mind subtitles, do you have a preferred genre, and do you enjoy British shows?

You WILL need to change your diet. Seriously, massive differences for me pre and post surgery. I eat about half as much and foods make a massive difference on whether my poo comes out solid or explosively liquid. (not so fun fact: pizza rolls are bad)

I have an INCREDIBLE suggestion!
it is called Derek. The show is simply amazing. Ricky Gervais plays a slighlty slow employee at a retirment home. THe show has some of the funniest moments ever, but then you will be in tears.
One of the only shows I know that within 5 minutes the tears in your eyes change from tears of joy to tears of sadness.
You already watch Top Gear so the accents shouldn't be too bad. I think theres 8 episodes, each is about 20 minutes. I watched the whole series in one night.
Season two will be on in a few months

TV: Firefly, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, SNL (lots on there, but no musical guests), Archer, Arrow, Robot Chicken, Parks and Rec, Mythbusters, Hell on Wheels, Burn Notice (pretend the final season doesn't exist), It's Always Sunny, Orange is the new Black, House of Cards.
Movies: The good the bad and the ugly, Once upon a time in the west, Dr. Strangelove, Dust to Glory, Senna, Love the Beast... Lots of good "old" stuff like Ghostbusters and Taxi Driver have been added too.

I'm not sure if the cost per pound of weight savings makes this mod worth it.
Glad you're okay.

Was having problems with the gallbladder causing a lot of pain. So the mod takes care of the pain, the weight savings is just bonus. Like installing a new intake for better flow and getting weight savings in the process.

Hopefully it won't affect me too much. I've never really cared for greasy foods or deep fried stuff. It will definitely be interesting to see how much effect it has on me. I've been eating pretty light meals since, pain killers and no activity don't make for much of an appetite.

I can deal with subtitles but prefer not to. I don't really have a preferred genre, but depending on my mood tend towards comedies. A lot of times I'm just looking for mindless entertainment which is why I tend towards comedy. As for British shows I like Dr. Who, Top Gear and Sherlock. The only other one I've watched is IT Crowd and don't find it to be that entertaining.

Will find out soon. I've been eating pretty light due to no appetite. So I eased into things today by having chili for lunch. That's easing in, right?

Light Hearted, got it.
OSS 117: Lost in Cairo is a french movie based on a series of novels and movies. It is in French, but totally worth it. Think James Bond meets Maxwell Smart. The subtitles are mostly accurate, but some of the jokes don't translate well.
Frasier is my favorite American sitcom, but many of the situations require outside knowledge.
Long Way Round and Long Way Down are great motorcycle road trip movies.
The Man with One Red Shoe is one of Tom Hanks earliest movies and is a great goofy comedy.
